As I told Corey, the entire time I was with Parker and Corey, I was either laughing or sweating trying to decipher Corey’s sarcasm. The first time I met them during their engagement session, I asked if they wanted a picture kissing, and Corey replied with a casual, “Tongue or no tongue?” My face looked a lot like the big-eyed blushing emoji, until Parker busted out laughing and Corey flashed a smile.

These two definitely bounced off each other, if that makes sense. Parker absorbed and clearly loved Corey’s witty sense of quick humor and Corey clearly adored his beautiful, chilled-out bride. I could tell from the moment I met these two that they were a rare and perfect match.

They got married at the Whitesburg Baptist Church Recreation Center in Huntsville, Alabama at 4:00pm on Saturday, October 14. The venue has a chapel with tall, stained glass windows reaching up to the ceiling, reading “Faith”, “Hope”, and above the altar, “Love”. Parker’s unique blue dress flowed perfectly with the chapel. Speaking of blue dress, Corey was so surprised! Check out his face when he first saw Parker!

Her bridal dress was from Something Blue Too in Hartselle, AL, and her [and the bridesmaids’] hair and make up was done by Lori with Oh, Darling Event Hair and Makeup.

And I loved that the bridesmaids’ dresses were white…such a cool twist! Here are a few more of the bridesmaids:

Their flowers added a pop of color. These were by Petals by Ali.

Then we get to the groomsmen. We all know it: Groomsmen hate pictures, BUT these guys were really great sports, especially when I surprised them by telling them to JUMP!

Check out a few more portraits and some from their ceremony in Whitesburg Chapel:

The reception was at The Top, which is the rooftop of the PNC building in downtown Huntsville. There were blue lights and linens to compliment Parker’s dress, and some fall-themed centerpieces. My favorite part was the neon lights reading “The Robinson’s”.

Second favorite part was…DONUTS!!!! They had a donut bar full of donuts by The Donut Hole HSV.

Here’s to the new Mr. & Mrs. Robinson! Check out more to be posted on Facebook ( and Instagram (@abbieboltonphoto)!

Katherine and Chass were married on a mid-September Sunday afternoon at Burritt on the Mountain in Huntsville, Alabama. It was warm and humid (even for Alabama!), but thankfully the clouds hung around above the mountain for a little relief!

When I met Katherine and her mother at the beginning of the year, the one thing that stood out was their calm kindness, soft voices, and big constant smiles. It seems that this sweet demeanor radiates to those around them because Chass (and even the wedding party and guests) gave off the same impression!

When we arrived to Burritt on the Mountain that morning, the bride and bridesmaids were all joyfully getting ready, their bouquets waiting in vases right outside the door. We took a few detail shots as they were primping:

The girls seemed to be having fun in this beautiful bridal suite full of mirrors!

The cute junior bridesmaids were there to get ready too:

Soon we found the boys where Chass felt the pressure when we photographed him tying his tie!! Don’t worry Chass, you can suddenly forget a lot of things when you know someone is watching you do it! :-) At least we got a good laugh!

Before we knew it, it was my favorite time - the first look!! Chass stood in front of the Burrit Mansion eagerly waiting on his bride to come meet him. Another funny moment: A few groomsmen wandered down at the last minute to say, “Hey, what’re you guys doing down here?”, and Chass quickly shooed them away so he could get a few minutes alone to see Katherine for the first time! It was so sweet to see that he wanted this to be a moment for just the two of them.

We had a lot of great photos of Katherine and Chass. This wedding was a long time coming for them; they met in just 8th grade, when Chass and Katherine’s brother became best friends! What was “my brother’s friend” quickly became a teenage crush! You could tell how comfortable these two were with one another and how Chass was crazy about Katherine!

Speaking of crazy about Katherine, look at how beautiful she is!

The bridesmaids were all so sweet, and in the short time I got to spend with them, they all reminded me of Katherine!

Then the boys reluctantly came out for a few. It wasn’t so bad, huh guys?

The ceremony was at the gazebo on the mountain, and even though it was a cloudy day, we still had perfect views. Chass had warned me before the first look that Katherine was “a crier”, but she held it together until the vows. Chass had a handkerchief waiting for her.

The reception was filled with their closest friends and family, a lot of sweets, and dancing until their late afternoon send off.

Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Baker! It was such a pleasure helping you celebrate the best day ever!

Mallory and Bryan are newbies to Huntsville, recently moving here from another “rocket city” known for it’s aerospace technology in Florida. So, Bryan’s new job took them to this space town we all love, Huntsville! So far they seem to like it here, and I hope this session in downtown Huntsville to celebrate their engagement helped them feel more at home!

We started out on one of the back roads around the historic houses in the Twickenham District, which I actually discovered during Parker and Corey’s engagement session (you can see their session a few posts back!). I just love all of these hidden drives and gravel roads at the heart of downtown, all with so much character.

AND you guys know I was pumped when they brought their dog to come play too!!!!! All she wanted was to sniff everything in sight. :-)

I also appreciated how crafty Mallory is! She brought a couple of props for the session, which I think photographed really well.

Mallory and Bryan are set to be married in Cocoa Beach, FL in March. Congrats you guys, and welcome to Huntsville! I know you’ll love it as much as I do!!
