Porter-Anderson Wedding | West Huntsville Church of Christ | Huntsville, AL

Stephen and Brenna were married in late May at their home church, West Huntsville Church of Christ, with a reception to follow under the church’s pavilion.

It was a beautiful, bright and sunny, HOT summer day, which complimented their choice to have Handel’s Ice Cream serving at their reception!! It was a hit with kids and adults!

We started the day at the beautiful home of Brenna’s brother and sister-in-law, where the bridal party was getting ready, and actually shot all of the bridal party portraits in their backyard!

Because the bride and groom weren’t doing a 1st look, they stayed separated and the groom and groomsmen got ready and had their portraits at the church. These groomsmen were a HOOT. At the ceremony, as each groomsmen walked down the aisle, they met Stephen with something unique for each person, whether it was shining his shoes, a spray of breath freshener, or the last groomsmen stopped to make sure they all got a good selfie!

I loved all the little well thought out details of Brenna and Stephen’s wedding, from little signs to unique antique saucers at their reception, I wanted to be sure to include a few detail pictures that might inspire others too!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Anderson! I am so thankful we were able to be a part of your special day!

Oles Vaughn Wedding | Burritt on the Mountain | Huntsville, AL

My favorite thing about shooting Christina and Jordan? Their BIG SMILES and laughs! They have fun together and don’t take themselves very seriously. Almost every pose or adjustment I put them in had them cracking up!

Their May wedding was at Burritt on the Mountain, and it was one of the first weddings up at Burritt’s new section called “The View”. The View is a newly built overlook on the side of Monte Sano Mountain, showcasing the view that Burritt is so well known for. I loved that the glass walls and clear chairs on the overlook didn’t compete with or block any of the beautiful view.

It was hot, and it was very, very bright! But, they could not have picked a more perfect day. Here’s a few more favorites!:

Cari + Tom | Wedding Chapel on the Mountain | Huntsville, AL

Cari and Tom live in Birmingham, but I’m so glad they decided to come to Tom’s home town of Huntsville to say their vows and celebrate with family.

The ladies got ready that morning in the bridal suite of Wedding Chapel on the Mountain, jamming to some tunes and drinking some champagne.

I loved the Wedding Chapel’s woodsy, rocky backdrop for these couples portraits. This was an afternoon affair, so the tall pines and big rock wall at the ceremony area provided just enough shade.

Isn’t Cari’s wedding dress dreamy? I’m a huge fan of low back dresses! This one is from Diane’s Formal Affair in Jasper, AL, which I HIGHLY recommend. I got my wedding dress from the same place! I remember going to so many shops and finding 1 or 2 dresses I liked, but when I went to Diane’s, I tried on AT LEAST 20 dresses. (I know this was over 3 years ago but shoutout to Janice at Diane’s for being super patient and allowing me to stay far past my appointment time!)

Cari had 2 of her best friends as her bridesmaids, and Tom’s nieces as junior bridesmaids, and Tom had a few of his friends and nephew by his side.

It was a beautiful spring day for an afternoon ceremony, followed up by their reception at The Ledges in Huntsville.

Here are a few more from their big day!
